EL BRILLANTE
In the 50's, an enterprising lion moves to Madrid to open one of the most emblematic bars in the history of the capital, the famous Bar El Brillante. His career began as a waiter in a bar in Postas street, until he managed to open his first bar in Eloy Gonzalo street where he achieved great notoriety in Madrid.
Later he began to expand his brand in different strategic locations in the capital, being his flagship the local Atocha, now Plaza del Emperador Carlos V.
In 1991, his son took over the business, making it what it is today, a meeting place for the best BOCADILLO DE CALAMARES in Madrid. "If you have not eaten one of our sandwiches you have not been in Madrid".
Our sandwich becomes something typical of Madrid, as well as our churros and our famous tripe with tortilla.
Now, more than half a century later, we are finally starting a new journey with our opening in the Nassica Shopping Center in Getafe.
Our bet is to bring the calamari sandwich to the greatest number of people, being Nassica the first of many others.
